The Young Professionals Connection showed last Friday that they could not be off to a better start in the new year. 400+ flooded into People’s after making the decision to begin their weekend at YPC’s Annual Kick-off Party. I don’t think anyone regretted that decision, this was once again the best “social hour” in town.

Mike Banasiak (YPC President), made the bold statement from the stage “it’s the best $20 you can spend” in reference to YPC’s Annual Membership fee. Being a member since 2007, I would not hesitate to back that statement. Everything the group does has made it better and they’ve strengthened relationships along the way. As they move forward, I’m glad to still be a part of it as I watch friends carry on with some awesome traditions in 2012.
Since there’s many new faces out there still looking to get involved, here’s some of the upcoming YPC calendar:
February 1: Social Committee Meeting (Amici Espresso, 6th & Mulberry, 7-8pm)
February 6: Charitable Committee Meeting (Gusto Pizza, 1905 Ingersoll Av., 6-7pm)
February 7: Diversity Committee Meeting (Panera Bread Downtown, 215 10th St., 6-7pm)
February 9: Social Happy Hour (Splash Seafood Bar, 303 Locust St., 5:30-8pm)
It’s easy to get involved with these events, just show up! Watch the calendar as they’ll have a lot more in February and March.
