Well, I hope you have already heard about the NonProfit Forum that will be put on by the Young Professionals Connection this coming Thursday at Jasper Winery. If you had, well that will make my efforts today that much easier. But, just because you may have – hopefully – heard about the event it doesn’t mean you really understand the value you can get by attending. That is where I come in, well – hopefully I can do the event justice.
The NonProfit Forum is an event like no other in Des Moines. For starters, the event features over 40 fantastic Non-Profits in a forum where they can illustrate their value to our community to – ideally – many of the adoring guests. The event is essentially a round-table event where guests get to sip on some great wine from the Jasper folk while they peruse the tables that showcase many of Des Moines Non-Profit entities. Each table will provide a means for the Non-Profit to display material or fliers about their mission and a booth where they can speak about their mission to the wine sipping interested-guests.
Truly, the NonProfit Forum is the perfect opportunity to find out more about so many of the great organizations that often fly under the radar because of their inability to spend money marketing themselves. This is an event that you will kick yourself for missing because there is no other like it in the city of Des Moines. Don’t let this opportunity slip by, you should make it a point to stop in on Thursday if you have ever thought about volunteering, but just haven’t found the perfect organization.
