Local Fashion Show Highlights Area-Designers and Hot Summer Trends

The Accidental Industry Fashion Show Summer 2012 will be held Saturday, June 16 at Brenton Skating Plaza, downtown Des Moines, Iowa – highlighting some of the best up-and-coming designers from around the metro area. The fashion show will feature seven designers and over 50 looks. Styles seen by guests will range from casual beachwear to high fashion dresses.

Featured designers include:

• Acanthus Apparel featuring Girl Friday
• Burden Child Designs
• Laura Rodriguez
• Magpie
• Olivewood Design
• Pink Revolver
• Radmademoiselles

Guests will enjoy music by DJ John Solarz of Weekend Records.
Refreshments and adult beverages will be provided by Host.

Day of the show:

Guests are invited to a pre-party from 6-8:00 pm hosted by Subsect Skateshop at the store (located at 309 E Walnut St. in Des Moines’ East Village). Doors open at Brenton Skating Plaza at 8:00 pm; the runway event begins promptly at 9:00 pm. The show will be held rain or shine; tents will be provided in the event of inclement weather.

Tickets:

A limited number of tickets will be available for first and second row seating at the event ($10/ticket for first row; $8/ticket for second row). Once these are sold out, General Admission will be available for $5/ticket. Tickets are now available at RAYGUN and Vitae Design Collective (both located in the East Village). Guests can also purchase them at the door on the day of the event.

Part of ticket proceeds will go towards benefitting the construction of the Des Moines Regional Skatepark.
