My jaw dropped as I entered the America’s Incredible Pizza Company in Urbandale this past Saturday night, something that is truly reserved for rare circumstances. I was on “date night” with my girlfriend and we decided it would be fun to see if we could ride the Go Carts. As we entered, we were greeted by a very attentive and personable staff person who went into great detail describing the place. We had just eaten, so we were not there for the 100 piece all-you-can-eat buffet or the three different themed dining rooms, and were pleased that we could just go back to the game area. We were allowed to just walk around initially, since it was our first time in the establishment and I am sure our inundated facial expressions gave the staff ample opportunity to see we just needed a few moments to take it all in. After our initial pass through the joint, we decided it would be fun to play some Skee Ball instead of the Go Carts. Much to our amazement, our money was converted to a debit card with our balance and off we went with no need for coins or change. The Skee Ball games were only $.30, which was pretty cool since we wanted to play the best of 10. It is not important who won (me!), but what is important was the fun two grown people had in a game center.
I described the place as a Chucky Cheeses on crack, which may not be the best description for a family entertainment venue, but it was what came to my mind. There are so many games, Go Carts, three different themed dining rooms showing movies, an overwhelming buffet of food; it was just too much to take in. I decided it would be a fantastic present for my Nephews (5 and 2 yrs) for the fast approaching holiday.
I cannot tell you what to expect when you walk into the America’s Incredible Pizza Company, because I imagine my build up will enhance your expectations and possibly lead you to think too much of the location. All I can promise you is your children will think it is heaven with a debit card, which will likely mean you will get some piece and quiet, something that I know parents are very eager for. Hey, at the very least, it is interesting to see the companies very own Youtube site.

Good post Pete! My husband and I took my dad and 18 year old brother when they first opened. We went on a “Wacky Wednesday” and had 90 hours of unlimited games. We had a blast! By the end of the 90 minutes we had raced 2 rounds on the go-karts, mini golf, several games of skee ball and a handful of other games. Fun time with the family!
Mini Golf!?!?! Wow, I didn’t even see the Mini Golf…
