I saw a video of the championship reception held for my alma mater, East Waterloo, after they won the '03 Class 4-A title, and played the Umpire game, in which you made the call whether a pitch was a strike or a ball. But the highlight of that day was running into Chuck Offenberger. At that time, he was helping out the HOP as it got started off the ground. I told him that I remembered him sitting behind my high school's bench in 1992. He was doing a story about the rivalry between East and West. The quote that sticks out to me was when he described the rivalry as "racehorse basketball" because both team raced up and down the court with so much fervor and speed, he didn't think anyone else in the state could stop it.
